Things to do in the winter

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted here but I’m eager and ready to start the new year off right and post more! I wanted to share a few ideas of things to do when it’s cold outside! I’m always looking for things to do so maybe this post can help cure some bordem!

1) Sledding

I know when it’s cold the last thing you want to do is go outside, but once you’re out this is such a fun activity! I feel like you can never be too old to enjoy some sledding. Maybe not when it’s 0 degrees outside but when it’s sunny and you just got some fresh snow this is a great way to pass some time. Just make sure you bundle up!

2) Start a fire and watch some movies

Got a fire place ? If not just light a few of your favorite candles sit back and put on some good movies. This is great for those freezing days when the snow doesn’t seem to stop falling. Make sure you make a big pot of coffee or some hot chocolate.

3) Learn how to knit or crochet

Knitting and crocheting is so relaxing. They are both fairly easy to learn and if you don’t know what to do that day you can swing by Micheals, Hobby Lobby, or any other craft store and pick up some yarn and needles/hook and get going! It’s so satisfying creating something with your hands. Scarfs, hats, and more. Tons of YouTube tutorials will have you learning in no time.

4) Baking

There are endless possibilities on what you can bake. Pinterest is a life saver when you need some new ideas. Bake some cookies or a cake, or something crazy.

5) Give yourself a manicure/ pedicure

We rarely set time aside now a days to pamper ourselves. Grab your favorite nail polish, and all your tools and pamper your nails! You can start a foot bath with some bath salts, and you can give yourself a hand message, and just relax. Then paint your nails, take some cute instagram photos and feel clean and pampered!

6) Read a book

This is an obvious one but it’s so overlooked. When’s the last time you sat down and just got lost in a good book? You can sit all wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket and start a new book.

7) Go to a coffee shop

Coffee is always great on a cold day. Head to a cute little coffee shop in your area, or maybe a new coffee shop you’ve never been to yet. Bring a book, or some study materials and just enjoy you. And your coffee of course.

Thanks for reading! I hope these ideas helped cure your bordem!
